B427 was tagged on the Skeerpoort colony cliffs as a nestling along with 9 other chicks in her brood. She was not seen for two years after tagging but has been seen at VulPro’s vulture restaurant in the Magaliesberg routinely since November 2012. In September 2014 she was seen tending a chick at the Skeerpoort colony a few hundred metres from her natal ledge. Her chick was later confirmed to have survived to fledgling. Her successful breeding at four years old is the youngest recorded breeding attempt for the species in the wild. She is still routinely seen feeding at VulPro’s vulture restaurant.
