Lappet-faced Vulture Tag 009, flying free

LFV (Lappet-faced Vulture) Tag 009 was part of a wild capture undertaken at VulPro,   fitted with a tag and a GPS satellite tracking device (seen as the small backpack item on the vulture’s back) for research and movement monitoring.  Initially Tag 009 provided great data but unfortunately the satellite tracking device stopped functioning a few months ago.  In a case like this we wait  for tagged re-sightings and hope that the vulture is still alive and well.
